Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards which are valued under ten are give a value of their printed number while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they purely appear as the two hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards will now be given to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for any hand is the sum total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of seven and 5 produces a value of 2 (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card may be given out depending on the foll. protocols:

- If the player or banker has a tally of eight or 9, then both players stand.

- If the bettor has five or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the player hits, a chart is used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores is the winner. Successful wagers on the banker payout nineteen to twenty (even odds less a 5% commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so make sure to have $$$$$ still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for tie commonly pay out 8 to one but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad gamble as ties occur lower than one every 10 hands. be cautious of laying money on a tie. Even so odds are vastly better – nine to 1 versus 8 to 1)

When done effectively, baccarat provides generally good odds, apart from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. One of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is not an actual indicator of future actions. Monitoring of last outcomes on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and almost certainly most successful technique is the one-3-2-six method. This method is employed to magnify payouts and reducing risk.

start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the third wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a total of 6 on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Attaining a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Therefore you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
