Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards that are valued less than 10 are of face value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they simply act as the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of two cards will now be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for any hand shall be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dropped. For example, a hand of seven … 5 has a tally of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A 3rd card could be played depending on the foll. protocols:
- If the player or banker has a total of 8 or nine, each players stand.
- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart is used to determine if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Successful wagers on the banker pay at 19 to 20 (even money less a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so ensure that you have funds still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie commonly pays eight to one but sometimes 9 to one. (This is an awful bet as ties will occur lower than one every 10 hands. Stay away from laying money on a tie. However odds are considerably better – 9 to one versus 8 to 1)
Played properly, baccarat offers fairly good odds, aside from the tie bet obviously.
Baccarat Strategy
As with most games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. One of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way a predictor of future results. Keeping track of prior conclusions on a chart is a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most commonly used and possibly most successful technique is the 1-three-two-six method. This process is used to pump up winnings and controlling risk.
start by betting 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth bet.
If you lose on the 1st wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means that you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
