Baccarat Rules

Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are valued less than 10 are give a value of their printed number while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they purely symbolize the two hands to be dealt).

2 hands of two cards are then given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for any hand will be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 7 … five results in a score of 2 (7plus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card could be dealt depending on the following protocols:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of eight or 9, the two players stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two scores will be the winner. Winning stakes on the banker pay out 19 to twenty (even odds minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have $$$$$ left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie commonly pay 8 to one and occasionally 9 to 1. (This is not a good bet as ties will happen less than 1 every 10 hands. Avoid betting on a tie. However odds are generously better – 9 to 1 versus 8 to one)

When played properly, baccarat presents generally decent odds, away from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with every games, Baccarat has some established myths. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way a predictor of future outcomes. Staying abreast of prior outcomes on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and possibly most successful method is the one-three-2-6 method. This method is employed to amplify successes and lowering risk.

commence by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract 4 so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the third gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a grand total of six on the fourth bet.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. In other words you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
