Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are valued under ten are worth their printed number while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just act as the two hands to be given out).

2 hands of 2 cards are then given out to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand will be the grand total of the two cards, but the initial digit is discarded. For e.g., a hand of 7 as well as five produces a score of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card can be given out depending on the foll. guidelines:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of 8 or nine, then both players stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so be sure to have dollars still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie customarily pay 8 to one but sometimes 9 to one. (This is a terrible wager as ties occur lower than 1 every 10 hands. be wary of putting money on a tie. Nevertheless odds are richly better – 9 to 1 vs. eight to one)

When played effectively, baccarat presents pretty good odds, away from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is surely not a predictor of future actions. Keeping track of prior conclusions on a chart is definitely a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and feasibly most successful strategy is the 1-3-two-6 concept. This method is employed to increase payout and minimizing risk.

Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract 4 so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th wager.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second will create a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
