Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards of a value less than 10 are of their printed value whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they purely represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

2 hands of two cards will now be dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for any hand will be the sum of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of seven … five produces a total score of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card could be played depending on the following standards:

- If the bettor or banker has a tally of eight or 9, then both players stand.

- If the player has 5 or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so make sure that you have $$$$$ remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie customarily pays out at 8 to 1 but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is not a good bet as ties will happen lower than one every 10 hands. Avoid wagering on a tie. Regardless odds are somewhat better – nine to one versus 8 to 1)

Played smartly, baccarat provides generally decent odds, away from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about every games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an indicator of future results. Staying abreast of prior outcomes on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most commonly used and almost certainly most successful tactic is the 1-3-two-six concept. This schema is used to amplify successes and controlling risk.

start by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove 4 so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of six on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Thus you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
