Punto Banco Rules and Method

Baccarat Standards

Baccarat chemin de fer is wagered on with 8 decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards under ten are worth their printed value and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is one. Bets are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two cards are dealt to both the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for every hand is the sum of the two cards, although the beginning number is discarded. For instance, a hand of five and 6 has a total of 1 (five plus six equals 11; ignore the initial ‘one’).

A 3rd card will be given depending on the following rules:

- If the gambler or house achieves a score of eight or 9, both players hold.

- If the player has 5 or less, she hits. Players stays otherwise.

- If the gambler holds, the house hits on 5 or lower. If the gambler takes a card, a table is employed to determine if the banker stands or takes a card.

Punto Banco Odds

The higher of the two scores wins. Winning wagers on the bank pay out 19:20 (even money minus a five percent rake. Commission are recorded and cleared out once you quit the game so ensure you have cash around just before you head out). Winning wagers on the player pays 1 to 1. Winning bets for a tie usually pays out at 8 to 1 but sometimes nine to one. (This is a poor wager as ties occur less than one in every ten rounds. Be wary of wagering on a tie. Although odds are substantially better for 9 to 1 versus eight to one)

Wagered on properly baccarat offers fairly decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games Baccarat has a handful of accepted misconceptions. One of which is close to a myth in roulette. The past is not a prophecy of events yet to happen. Recording previous results at a table is a bad use of paper and an insult to the tree that surrendered its life for our paper needs.

The most accepted and possibly the most acknowledged plan is the 1-3-2-6 plan. This technique is employed to maximize profits and minimizing risk.

Begin by wagering 1 chip. If you succeed, add 1 more to the two on the table for a sum of 3 units on the second bet. Should you succeed you will retain 6 on the game table, take away four so you keep 2 on the 3rd bet. Should you win the 3rd wager, deposit 2 on the 4 on the game table for a total of six on the 4th round.

Should you do not win on the 1st bet, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the initial wager followed by a loss on the second brings about a hit of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you with a gain of 2. And success on the initial three with a loss on the fourth means you are even. Winning all 4 bets gives you with twelve, a take of 10. This means you are able to squander the 2nd wager five instances for each successful streak of 4 wagers and still balance the books.
