Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards below a value of ten are said to be worth their printed value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they simply portray the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards will now be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for any hand will be the sum total of the two cards, but the very first digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of 7 … five will have a score of 2 (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card might be played depending on the foll. rules:

- If the bettor or banker has a total of eight or 9, both gamblers stand.

- If the player has five or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart shall be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Winning bets on the banker payout nineteen to twenty (even money less a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure to have money left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie generally pays 8 to 1 and on occasion 9 to 1. (This is an awful bet as ties occur less than 1 every 10 hands. Stay away from putting money on a tie. Regardless odds are supremely better – nine to 1 vs. eight to 1)

Played accurately, baccarat provides fairly decent odds, away from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some well-known misunderstandings. 1 of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually an indicator of future actions. Keeping track of previous outcomes on a chart is simply a total waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and almost certainly most successful method is the 1-three-2-six technique. This tactic is employed to amplify profits and lowering risk.

start by betting 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have 2 on the 3rd gamble. If you win the third gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a value of six on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Therefore that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
