Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards valued less than ten are of face value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they only depict the two hands to be given out).

Two hands of 2 cards are then played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand will be the grand total of the two cards, but the initial digit is discarded. For e.g., a hand of seven … five results in a total of two (7plus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card could be dealt depending on the foll. rules:

- If the gambler or banker has a total score of 8 or 9, each bettors stand.

- If the bettor has five or lower, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the player hits, a chart shall be used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores is the winner. Winning bets on the banker pay 19 to twenty (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so make sure that you have $$$$$ left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie usually pays out at eight to 1 and sometimes 9 to 1. (This is not a good wager as ties occur less than one every 10 hands. Avoid placing bets on a tie. Still, odds are appreciably better – 9 to 1 versus eight to one)

When played smartly, baccarat provides relatively good odds, aside from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. One of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is never actually an actual indicator of future results. Monitoring of historic results on a chart is for sure a complete waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most common and possibly most successful strategy is the 1-three-2-6 scheme. This technique is used to maximize profits and lowering risk.

start by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away 4 so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the table for a total of six on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the second brings about a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore that you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
