Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards than are of a value less than ten are said to be worth their printed value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they only depict the 2 hands to be given out).

2 hands of 2 cards will then be played to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for any hand shall be the total of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is removed. For example, a hand of 7 … five results in a total of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card can be played depending on the following guidelines:

- If the bettor or banker has a score of eight or 9, each players stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores wins. Victorious bets on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have funds left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winner bets for tie typically pay 8 to one and on occasion 9 to one. (This is an awful bet as ties will occur lower than 1 every ten hands. Avoid laying money on a tie. Nonetheless odds are vastly better – nine to one versus eight to one)

When played correctly, baccarat offers pretty good odds, aside from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. One of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is surely not an indicator of future events. Staying abreast of historic outcomes on a chart is for sure a total waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most commonly used and possibly most successful strategy is the one-3-two-six scheme. This scheme is employed to maximize winnings and reducing risk.

start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away 4 so you have two on the third wager. If you win the third bet, add two to the four on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th gamble.

If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Winning at all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Thus you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
