Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards below a value of ten are said to be worth face value whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they just symbolize the two hands to be dealt).

2 hands of two cards shall then be played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for each hand shall be the total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For example, a hand of seven as well as five has a tally of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card may be given depending on the following rules:

- If the player or banker has a total of eight or nine, each players stand.

- If the gambler has five or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores will be the winner. Successful stakes on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have dollars left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie by and large pay eight to one but sometimes 9 to one. (This is a terrible bet as ties occur lower than one every ten hands. be cautious of placing bets on a tie. Regardless odds are actually better – 9 to one vs. 8 to 1)

When done properly, baccarat offers generally good odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some established myths. One of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is not an actual indicator of future happenings. Tracking of prior outcomes on a chart is simply a waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and possibly most successful strategy is the 1-3-2-6 concept. This plan is deployed to pump up profits and limiting risk.

start by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract 4 so you have two on the third wager. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the four on the table for a sum of six on the fourth gamble.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
