Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards which are valued under ten are valued at face value whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they merely depict the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for any hand shall be the sum of the two cards, but the initial digit is discarded. For e.g., a hand of seven and five has a tally of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card may be given out depending on the foll. codes:

- If the gambler or banker has a tally of 8 or 9, the two gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Victorious bets on the banker pay at 19 to twenty (even money less a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so ensure you have cash remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie commonly pays eight to one but occasionally nine to 1. (This is not a good bet as ties happen lower than one every 10 hands. Run away from placing bets on a tie. Regardless odds are vastly better – 9 to one versus 8 to one)

When played effectively, baccarat offers fairly decent odds, apart from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. One of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually a predictor of future actions. Monitoring of previous conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a complete waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and probably most successful strategy is the 1-3-2-6 scheme. This scheme is employed to magnify earnings and controlling risk.

Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the third wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a value of 6 on the 4th wager.

If you lose on the first bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Winning at all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Thus you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
