Baccarat Regulations
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards under 10 are said to be worth face value and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they purely symbolize the 2 hands to be played).
Two hands of 2 cards will then be given to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for any hand is the grand total of the two cards, but the initial digit is removed. For example, a hand of seven and 5 produces a total score of 2 (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).
A third card may be given depending on the following rules:
- If the player or banker has a score of eight or nine, both bettors stand.

Baccarat Odds
The greater of the two scores will be the winner. Successful stakes on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even odds less a five % commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so ensure you have $$$$$ left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie as a rule pay 8 to 1 but occasionally nine to one. (This is a bad gamble as ties will happen lower than one every ten hands. abstain from putting money on a tie.
