Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards than are of a value less than ten are worth face value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they strictly portray the 2 hands to be dealt).
2 hands of two cards will now be given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for every hand shall be the total of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of seven as well as five gives a score of two (7plus5=12; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card could be given out depending on the following protocols:
- If the bettor or banker has a score of eight or nine, then both players stand.
- If the gambler has 5 or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the 2 scores is the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay at 19 to twenty (even money minus a five % commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so be sure to have $$$$$ left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie typically pays out at eight to 1 but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad gamble as ties happen less than 1 every 10 hands. Avoid wagering on a tie. Still, odds are somewhat better – nine to one vs. eight to one)
Played smartly, baccarat offers generally decent odds, away from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Tactics
As with all games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. 1 of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is not an indicator of future results. Staying abreast of past conclusions on a chart is definitely a total waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most popular and probably most successful method is the one-3-2-six scheme. This process is used to maximize wins and lowering risk.
start by gambling one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove 4 so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the four on the table for a sum of 6 on the 4th wager.
If you don’t win on the first wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the second brings about a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Thus you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
